Good
Food has always been part of the tradition of Redmire.
With
mid-week winter breaks by arrangement, we provide evening
meals of the
highest quality.
Our
lamb and beef is all naturally reared roaming freely in family
groups on our pure, high limestone
pastures, rich in thymes and other
wild herbs, which impart a special subtle traditional quality
to our meat.
Together with pure basic ingredients, fresh vegetables
and old fashioned
puddings, they are all part of a wholesome table of freshly
cooked, locally
inspired food.
We
are happy for our guests to bring their own wine.(No corkage charged)
and individual dietary requirements can be catered for given prior
notice.
There are places to eat locally, at Cray, and in Buckden, five minutes walk away. (Bring a torch - we have
no streetlights: but people are always amazed at our starry skies).
There are also very pleasant Inns serving good food and "real
ale" at the neighbouring villages of Cray, Starbotton and
Hubberholm - a lovely summer evenings riverside walk away. -and
all within 1 1/2 miles of the farm. |
